Road map QTSC

The delegation of World Cities project (EU) to work at QTSC

On 16 June 2017, the delegation of the project on third countries cooperation on urban and regional development (World Cities) of European Union managed by the Directorate General for regional and urban policy (DG REGIO) of the European Commission worked at Quang Trung Software City (QTSC).

According to Mr. Gandara Araya Pablo, Project Manager of World Cities, it is currently organizing working meetings in the EU, Australia, South Korea, South Africa, Indonesia and Vietnam. The program has a collaborative online platform (forum) to facilitate the exchange of information and good practices between EU and non-EU cities. Project cities cooperate based on similarities between their thematic areas, experiences, and goals; communication with all cities in the exchange provides additional opportunities for collaboration and potential for new ideas. World Cities ultimate goal is to strengthen market opportunities and job creation while pursuing the sustainable economic development of the cities involved, thus fostering win-win cooperation.

Working at QTSC, they were interested in the applications and solutions for organization of QTSC, as well as smart city project in HCMC, IoT applications for agriculture, power saving, start-up and projects supporting woman in economic development.

At the end of the meeting, the delegation visited the Quang Trung Software Business Incubator (QTi) to learn about solutions have been implementing by start-ups operating here.
