As of January, 2018, QTSC has coordinated with GCS Vietnam to pilot the smart traffic management system (Smart Traffic) at several roads around QTSC.
After four years of following the idea of software satellite cities, the chain of the Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) was formed with first members.
On 08th February 2018, the delegation of the Consulate General of the Republic of Singapore visited and worked at Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) with the aim to learn about QTSC’s activities in 2018 and propose the cooperation program between the International Enterprise Singapore and QTSC.
On 31st January 2018, QTSC held the year-end meeting for enterprises operating in the park with the participation of nearly 90 representatives.
On January 30th 2018, Quang Trung Software City (QTSC), SaigonTech and VNITO Alliance welcomed the Chancellor Dr. Cesar Maldonado and Vice Chancellor Dr. Kurt Ewen of Houston Community College, Texas, US (HCC) to visit QTSC. This visit will help to boost more cooperations in the coming time.
On the January 30, 2018, Quang Trung Software City (QTSC), Investment & Trade Promotion Centre (ITPC) and VNITO Alliance co-organized the Business matching (B2B) session with IT delegation from Fukuoka (Japan) at ITPC’s hall (92-96 Nguyen Hue Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City).
On January 23rd 2018, the Arizona State University’s representatives (ASU) had a meeting at Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) to discuss about master degree training, soft skills training for IT engineers, US - Vietnamese startup exchange and some cooperation programs related to smart city.
As a target to become the Vietnam’s first smart city model, QTSC’s leaders found that the older public lighting system didn’t meet the managing and administrative requirements for the future despite of good investment.
