Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) launched an automatic wastewater monitoring system intending to monitor wastewater output quality and directly send the information to the Environmental monitoring center – HCMC Department of Natural Resource and Environment following regulation.

QTSC is creating a perfect working environment/wastewater, beautiful landscape, and especially the green area with more than 2,000 trees to become a green software area. Watering plants would consume a huge amount of groundwater, while an enormous amount of wastewater was thrown away from internal activities.

In 2017, QTSC deployed the wastewater treatment system meeting the standard of QCVN 14:2008, local wastewater on B type. However, this source of water is not able to be used for plant watering. To solve this problem, in 2020, QTSC upgraded the wastewater treatment station at level A. The wastewater output treatment station could monitor 13 indexes in order to improve the management quality of recycled water for watering the internal green area.

Shortly, QTSC will show these indexes up on digital billboards located at QTSC’s entrance gates, on the website www.qtsc.com.vn to help those who study and work at QTSC are able to obtain information.

The system’s roles:

• Managing the quality of wastewater in QTSC and ensuring that the local wastewater treatment meets strictly standard before being discharged into the environment/wastewater.
• Ensuring the quality of wastewater constantly meeting the requirement of type A of QCVN 14:2008 and column B1 of QCVN 08:2008 in order to reuse treated wastewater for watering trees.
• Directly sending the indexes of wastewater monitoring to HCMC Department of Natural Resource and Environment following regulation.
• Improving the QTSC’s image towards a state-of-the-art software park and the leading enterprise applying IT to managing the environment/wastewater.
• Increasing the efficiency of controlling the sources of pollution at QTSC.
• Becoming the basis for developing a business plan about environment/wastewateral management application for enterprises that produce large volumes of wastewater, industrial zones, export processing zones, and so on.
