QTSC to establish R&D Labs in third quarter

HCMC – Quang Trung Software City (QTSC), the first and largest software park in Vietnam, has announced plans to put into service a research and development (R&D) lab called “QTSC R&D Labs” in the third quarter of 2018.

A source from QTSC said it has been building a lab for R&D of new products at Hall 5 in QTSC, District 12, since the second quarter.

QTSC R&D Labs is expected to host enterprises operating in the R&D sector and to support numerous startups. In addition, the lab is expected to create a public space for R&D and attract multiple leading experts in the field to work in QTSC.

Enterprises working at the lab will benefit from scores of advantages and support, including advertising in newspapers or on QTSC’s website, one-stop services, links with communities and universities to seek skilled personnel, and associations with Internet of Things ecosystem centers. In addition, they will enjoy preferential policies on rent, among other things.

QTSC R&D Labs has so far hosted five startups specializing in multiple fields such as smart agriculture, smart parking and smart home, simulation, 3D printing and automation technology and firefighting equipment.
