On the morning of October 23rd, 2020, the delegation of VNPT Corporation and KPMG India visited and learned about the operating model at Quang Trung Software City (QTSC).
Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoi - Deputy Director of VNPT Tien Giang, CEO of Mekong ITP said that VNPT, together with the International Consulting Corporation KPMG India, visited QTSC with the aim to research its establishment and development process, as well as gain useful experience in attracting investors and IT enterprises, thus applying to VNPT’s software zones throughout Vietnam.
The overview of the meeting
At the meeting, KPMG India and VNPT exchanged much more information regarding QTSC such as: QTSC was established from the idea of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, the number of private investors have invested to QTSC, core construction costs in the developing process, the elements contribute to QTSC’s success, the difficulties that QTSC is facing, its occupancy rate and so on. In terms of business model, the reasons that QTSC was formed as a state-owned company, the enterprises are suitable to place their office at QTSC, etc.
Besides, the consulting agency also asked many questions to ICT firms such as the reasons why they chose QTSC, whether these companies tend to open a branch at Tien Giang.
As for universities and colleges operating in QTSC, do these schools contribute to offer specialized knowledge and high quality human resource to internal enterprises?
Ms. Pham Thi Kim Phuong – Deputy CEO of QTSC answered each of the questions in turn and gave useful advice. Additionally, she also shared experience in developing management team, providing QTSC’s services to catch up with Industry 4.0. These values help QTSC increase the ability of attracting high quality investments and promote QTSC’s brand name and Vietnam’s software industry.
