In the afternoon of June 26th, QTSC cooperated with Vietnam Software & IT services, Southern branch (VINASA HCM) and Vietnam Information Technology Outsourcing Alliance (VNITO) to organize a seminar with the topic "Experience in implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) projects" at QTSC Building 1, Quang Trung Software City.
The seminar aimed at sharing models of artificial intelligence deployment in Vietnamese enterprises and experiences in AI training in enterprises and institutes, and discussing cooperation between businesses to promote research and development activities as well as application of AI technology.
Ms. Nhieu Quoc Tran - Lead of Technological Solution Section presented AI application for VMS system at QTSC. According to her, before applying VMS to monitor security in the entire 43 ha area, QTSC has more than 300 cameras of nearly 10 different brands and was expected to increase the number of cameras in the near future. Each brand has its own management software. In order to view the entire camera, administrator need to open 10 websites and log in with 10 different passwords, and sometimes there is only one compatible browser. In terms of security support, cameras on the present market are mainly tracking, monitoring and recording information images. A problem can only be detected after it has occurred when a controller watch camera footages to identify the problem, causing the delay in emergencies.
From the above situation, QTSC implements AI application for VMS system with many benefits such as: Managing the entire camera on a single software using existing cameras without replacing them completely, providing intelligent features including license plate recognition, face recognition, human recognition, counting people, crowds recognition. Along with that is the warning features such as warning of suspects in blacklist, warning when suspects climb in, warning when crowds gather, and alert when someone appears in the restricted area, etc.

After that, Mr. Ha Van Minh (Technical Director of TMA Innovation Center), Mr. Mai Huynh Tan (Head of GCS AI Lab), and Mr. Tran Quang Thang (Tech Lead of TMA AI Center) continued to share practical case studies when programming AI applications for foreign customers, as well as comparing AI ML technologies, and experience in solving specific problems.
Mr. Ha Van Minh, Technical Director of TMA Innovation Center, shared about the process of implementing the AI project for automatic clothes drying system of a foreign technology firm
Mr. Mai Huynh Tan, Head of GCS AI Lab, shared his experience in developing a distributed computing system for the Deep Reinforcement Learning project
Mr. Tran Quang Thang, Tech Lead of TMA AI Center presented the topic “Comparison of AI/ML technologies and experiences in solving specific problems of image identification (computer vision and object detection)
About AI training experience, Dr. Vu Tuong Thuy, Vice Principal of Hoa Sen University shared the topic "AI training experience in countries". According to Dr. Thuy, AI training is not new in Vietnam given its features on the computer science foundation, but is now more focused because of the market's needs.

Master Nguyen Vinh Tiep, Technical Program Manager of Koidra Tech, IT University lecturer and Academic Head at VietAI, presented "Experience in training and deploying Machine Learning at enterprises, R&D centers and Universities". According to him building an AI training program at universities will be very complicated with many different procedures. Therefore, universities should coordinate with businesses in training and training according to actual needs.
