In the morning of May 08, Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) held the first meeting in 2020 for investors to exchange about "Solar rooftop power".
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Vu Quang - Deputy CEO of QTSC said that QTSC has planned to implement the project "Solar rooftop power in Quang Trung Software City" on buildings which are directly managed and operated by QTSC. Thus, it was desired that the investors should study this project and accompany QTSC in applying widely for all their own buildings.
On this occasion, QTSC invited representative of a corporation with 30 years of experience in the energy industry including solar power, wind power, hydropower and thermal power to present solutions and discuss implementation plan of the project "Solar rooftop power in Quang Trung Software City".

Accordingly, solar power is a solution that brings double benefits to businesses such as: the output of the solar power system is prioritized to use for operation and production activities so as to minimize the power consumption from EVN source; cost savings with revenue from excess electricity being fed into the national grid; owning solar power helps enterprises take the initiative in maintaining a stable power source, minimizing the interruption of power source in production and business activities.
At the meeting, investors were very interested in the project and asked many more questions such as installing solar rooftop system whether affect building’s structure, safety issues in terrible weather conditions, operational principle of the system, initial investment cost, as well as the quality of solar power source, etc.
Concluding the meeting, Mr. Vu Quang shared that investors should consider installing this system for their own buildings in order to reduce CO2 emissions, contribute to environment/wastewateral protection, commit to the long-term sustainable development towards building Quang Trung Software City to become the leading green - smart city in Vietnam and Asia.
