In the evening of August 7th 2020, the delegation of People's Committee of District 12 visited and worked at Quang Trung Software City (QTSC).

Leading the delegation was Mr. Tran Hoang Danh – Party Committee Secretary of District 12, and senior official's members, including Mr. Tran Van Ut – Chairman of People's Council; Mr. Le Truong Hai Hieu – Chairman of People's Committee of District 12. Besides, the representatives of departments of district 12 were also parts of the delegation.

Mr. Lam Nguyen Hai Long – CEO of QTSC, Mr. Hoang Minh Tri – Deputy CEO of QTSC and departments' representatives gratefully welcomed the delegation. At the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Kim Phuong, Manager of the Strategy and Marketing Department, introduced QTSC's formation and development process briefly, along with the achievements and contributions to the economic and social advance of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) in general and District 12 in particular.

Mr. Lam Nguyen Hai Long said: QTSC is a place of storing cyber-infrastructure and security of vital projects of HCMC: electronic government, smart city, data digitalization, and digital transformation. QTSC had a turnover of USD510 million in 2019 and average labor productivity at nearly USD 20,000 person/year. Mainly, QTSC's annual personal income tax contributes to the city’s budget with approximately 1,000 billion per year.

Mr. Le Truong Hai Hieu, Chairman of People's Committee of District 12, said: HCMC People's Committee assigned District 12 to pilot the smart city model. During this time, the People's Committee of District 12 has collaborated with QTSC in implementing technology applications such as GIS-based integrated infrastructure management system, data storage system for online public services, citizen information management system, and so on. QTSC is one of the key projects of the economic-developing process of District 12. The combination of QTSC and Biotechnology Center of HCMC would potentially promotes science and technology development in the West-North area of the city. Therefore, the People's Committee of District 12 has always focused on QTSC's security.

Finally, the delegation visited the Integrated Operation Center (QTSC IOC) – a place where all applications of management and control are gathered in a single platform serving for QTSC's smart city model, STEAMZONE training center – one of the most massive scale and modern STEAM centers in HCMC and R&D Labs – the area of researching and developing new products of start-ups at QTSC.
