The delegation of Binh Dinh province visited QTSC

On the morning of March 26th, 2021, Mr. Lam Hai Giang – Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh People's Committee leading the delegation to visit and work at Quang Trung Software City (QTSC).

Mr. Lam Hai Giang said that Binh Dinh province has already had Quy Hoa Science and Education urban area, Quy Nhon city. TMA Solutions – one of the first investors building TMA Binh Dinh Innovation Park in our province. It is expected that this area will participate in QTSC Chain. In terms of legal records, Binh Dinh makes an efforts to submit the project of joining QTSC Chain to Prime Minister early.

Visiting QTSC this time, the delegation would like to learn more about the operating model and management mechanism of QTSC. Besides, the delegation also wanted QTSC to share its experiences in calling for investment, consulting on investment forms, and selecting potential investors.

Welcoming the delegation, Mr. Tran Huu Dung - Chairman of QTSC's Board of Members introduced QTSC model. QTSC is planned according to a software city's functional subdivisions: area for work, area for training, area to provide utility services for living activities, learning, and entertainment. This is a model consulted by USTDA organization 20 years ago and is valid until now.

From 2016, QTSC has gradually shifted from the software city model to becoming a place of integrating - transferring - providing digital transformation applications in management and administration towards the green and smart city. These activities contribute to raise the level of QTSC to a new turning point, becoming a smarter software urban area.

At the meeting, the two sides also spent a lot of time discussing the management plan for Quy Hoa scientific urban area and investment promotion activities in the province. According to Mr. Giang, FPT and TMA have already invested in Quy Nhon's construction, and the province wants to attract at least  6-7 more large-scale investors.

As an investor building TMA Binh Dinh Innovation Park, Mr. Nguyen Huu Le said that the project is built on an area having ​​more than 15 hectares.  The project includes software production and export area, training center, research and technology transfer center, data science center, artificial intelligence center, and center applying the internet of things to provide software products for domestic and foreign partners. The project has completed phase 1 with more than 200 employees working on high-tech projects for 6 countries, including USA, Australia, France, Japan, Korea and Singapore.

However, Mr. Le also commented that Binh Dinh province should build a one-stop service similar to that in QTSC. This will be a clue to help investors complete investment procedures, construction permits, or other import and export procedures and so on.

During the work, the delegation visited the STEAMZone training center - the largest STEM training center in Ho Chi Minh City. Simultaneously, the delegation presented the most advanced educational methods in the world with practical lessons. Additionally, the delegation visited QTSC Museum and TMA Solutions company.
