Students of University of Social Sciences and Humanities – Vietnam National University HCMC visited QTSC

In the morning of May 15, 2019, nearly 60 students of the Department of Urban Studies of University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University - HCMC visited and learned about the smart city model, solutions and technologies being applied to operate it, as well as challenges in the future when expanding the application of this model for all districts and provinces throughout the country.

At the beginning of the program, the students heard an overview of Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) - the process of formation and development of Vietnam's first and largest software city.

Next, the students were introduced about the detail of smart city model and the Integrated Operation Center solution (QTSC IOC) - this system has just been selected to public voting round on the Administration category of the 2019 "Smart City Asia Pacific Awards" organized by IDC. At the sharing session, the students also supported and voted for QTSC at: www.idc.com/ap/smartcities.

At the end of the program, the students visited and listened to the introduction of the Agriculture Center of Excellence - the place to research and test the application of new technologies in high-tech agriculture and wastewater treatment plant. At the plant, engineers monitor 12 wastewater indicators in real time, provide statistical charts and graphs of system notifications and alerts history at each timeline and alert when there is an indicator that is close to the threshold, etc.
