In the afternoon of September 18, 2019, the Hong Kong IT business delegation paid a working visit Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) and its operation of the smart city.
In order to help the delegation to understand the process of formation and development, as well as achievements, and position of QTSC in the international arena (QTSC ranked 3rd out of 8 technology zones in Asia), representatives of QTSC had a brief introduction about important milestones, outstanding remuneration policies, preeminent telecommunications infrastructure, free business support services, diverse internal utilities, etc. serving thousands of people who are working and studying in QTSC.
As foreign businesses, the delegation was very interested in the one-stop service of QTSC. The delegation highly appreciated this service and regarded it as a very helpful guideline for abroad company when carrying out the compulsory administrative procedures in the process of operation and production.
The delegation at the meeting
At the meeting, businesses were very interested in the "Smart city" model that QTSC is implementing. The delegation also shared a lot of useful information in the process of learning and getting to know the environment/wastewater of different countries about infrastructure, culture, human resources, costs, etc. related to the construction and operating of the urban city project; the deployment and application of new technologies; how to localize foreign technology solutions effectively; and all the support policies for the project.
In addition, the delegation also learned more about startups companies at QTSC and their operating model, the areas that QTSC is interested in, the existing school system in the area, and the ability to speak foreign language of the students studying here.
Business representatives said that in recent years, they have realized that English proficiency of Vietnamese students and employees has improved significantly, and English can be exchanged as a common language. At the same time, Japanese is also being widely used in many businesses, which is one of the reasons that attracts more and more Japanese companies to shift their operations to Vietnam market.
