In the morning of May 17, the delegation of Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) had a meeting with the leaders of Binh Dinh province about the plan to join QTSC Chain.
At the meeting, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung - Chairman of Binh Dinh People's Committee said that the province is building Quy Hoa Science and Education urban area of 242 ha and Long Van artificial intelligence area of about 150 ha in Quy Nhon City. This is the basis for the province to attract investors in the fields of hi-tech, IT so as to implement the sustainable and long-term development strategy. Currently, a number of enterprises have started investing in these areas.
Following that, TMA Solutions, a company operating in QTSC, is building TMA Innovation Park in Binh Dinh within the campus of Quy Hoa Science and Education urban area. With the criteria of being environment/wastewaterally friendly, working and living in harmony with nature, TMA Innovation Park has designed as the green and modern building standards. Up to now, the central block (block A) of TMA Innovation Park has been completed up to 90%.

Mr. Lam Nguyen Hai Long - Standing Member of QTSC Chain Management Council, CEO of QTSC said: Quang Trung Software City has built up as the orientation of a software city model and being on the way towards becoming a Science city. At present, QTSC has attracted 165 ICT companies including 5 large-sized ones with over 1,000 employees. More than 250 IT products, services and solutions have been deployed and gone to market. The turnover of enterprises in QTSC in 2019 reached US$ 510 million.
To become a member of QTSC Chain, IT zones need to meet 7 following criteria: (1) Established or recognized by a competent authority in accordance with the law; (2) Professional management system to handle daily tasks; (3) Being capable of attracting investment, setting up start-up environment/wastewater for SMEs (4) Having ability to attract high quality human resource; (5) Having a favorable geographical position and being capable of linking with IT human resource training centers or IT research and development centers; (6) Availability of telecommunication and internet infrastructure, advanced and modern services ensuring the convenience of logistic services; (7) Promoting advantages in technology and value of services in order to contribute to local economic growth.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Ho Quoc Dung assigned the Binh Dinh Department of Information and Communications to establish a Steering Committee aiming to build the project joining QTSC Chain, then submit it to the Ministry of Information and Communications and the Government. Dung also asked QTSC to support in building the project; as well as promoting investment activities; creating favorable conditions for provincial staff to visit and study the management model of QTSC.
