On the morning of June 26, 2024, a high-level delegation from the Armenian Embassy and Consulate in Vietnam visited and had a working session at QTSC to explore potential cooperation opportunities in the IT sector.
The delegation led by H.E. Mr. Suren Baghdasaryan, Ambassador of the Embassy of Armenia, Vietnam, and Mr. Gregory Ohannessian, Honorary Consul of Armenia, HCMC, Vietnam. Welcoming and discussing with the delegation were Mr. Tran Huu Dung, CEO of QTSC, and Ms. Pham Thi Kim Phuong, Deputy CEO of QTSC.
The strategic meeting began with an overview presentation about QTSC, its investment attraction policies, and operational environment. Established in 2001, QTSC currently houses more than 150 IT enterprises and serves as a regular workplace and study location for over 21,000 people. The community of enterprises within QTSC provides more than 650 technological products, services, and solutions to the global market. The Ministry of Information and Communications has rated QTSC as the largest and most successful concentrated IT park in Vietnam.
Additionally, QTSC currently operates a data center serving e-government in Ho Chi Minh City and provides digital transformation solutions for the city and several other provinces. Leveraging the strengths of a successful operational model, QTSC has been piloted to expand to other localities across the country through the QTSC Chain model, aiming to exploit resources, and enhance QTSC's role and brand.
During the meeting, Armenian delegates mentioned that Armenia plans to focus on developing its IT sector, including software development, telecommunications, smart city… Impressed by the similarities between the two countries in terms of a young, skilled, and highly specialized workforce, operating an IT park, and promoting sustainable green development, Armenia hopes to exchange and connect cooperation opportunities, as well as sharing resources and experiences with QTSC.
With over 23 years of establishment and development, along with a strong IT community, QTSC is ready to support and collaborate with Armenia in trade promotion activities, attracting investment, connecting Armenia with relevant agencies, IT enterprises, and partners, developing solutions for smart city, and exchanging human resources to contribute to the IT sector development of both countries.
