On 08th February 2018, the delegation of the Consulate General of the Republic of Singapore visited and worked at Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) with the aim to learn about QTSC’s activities in 2018 and propose the cooperation program between the International Enterprise Singapore and QTSC.
Welcoming the meeting, CEO of QTSC Mr. Lam Nguyen Hai Long briefly introduced the technologies and applications supporting QTSC in the administration management. Following that, QTSC has gradually become a smart city with three key goals: improving governance quality; increasing community satisfaction as well as developing QTSC’s brand.
QTSC has been focusing on the development of applications such as smart environment/wastewater, smart energy, smart traffic, smart home, smart governance, open data ecosystem and public security.
From the initial achievements, QTSC has continued to consistently optimize and develop more technologies and applications, step by step integrating data and applications on a single platform. "To turn QTSC into a smart city model is a long-term process and one of important goals for QTSC to become one of Asia's leading software parks," said Long.
Ms. Koh Chong Yu, Director of Business Development Center, South East Asia and Oceania Group, Singapore Consulate General, shared the experience that the government has built Singapore into a Smart Nation. In addition, she proposed that there should be more activities to speed up international cooperation, assist Singaporean enterprises and enterprises operating in QTSC seek cooperation opportunities, especially develop applications for smart city model in QTSC and Ho Chi Minh City.
On this occasion, Long had the honour to invite the Singaporean Consul General and IT firms to attend the International Economic Forum 2018 and IT Products – Services - Solutions Expo. Both of them are scheduled to be held in July 2018 in Ho Chi Minh City.
