On the morning of July 11th, 2024, within the framework of the International Technology Exposition iTECH EXPO 2024, QTSC coordinated with Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (HCA), Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Alliance (DTA), Ho Chi Minh City Digital Transformation Consulting and Support Center (DXCenter) organized the Seminar “Digital Government and Information Security”, at the SKY EXPO Vietnam International Convention Exhibition Center (QTSC, District 12, Ho Chi Minh City).
The conference included 6 presentations with the issues about promoting digital government associated with ensuring network information security, represented by experts with many years of experience in consulting, implementing and enforcing technology projects, applications, and solutions in digital government as well as in ensuring information security activities.
Giving the welcome speech, Ms. Pham Thi Kim Phuong, Deputy CEO of QTSC shared: "Digital transformation is a long journey, we are witnessing the widespread of digital transformation in all areas of life, economy and society, from production, distribution, commerce to consumption, in which the government's management, public service provision, administrative... are not out of the trend. Besides the benefits, digital transformation also poses significant challenges, especially in ensuring information security and privacy in cyberspace."

In addition, Mr. Phi Anh Tuan, Deputy Chairperson of DTA, Vice Chairman of HCA said: DTA has been linking businesses operating in the field of digital technology in order to create strength, accompany with the national digital transformation program and contribute to the development of digital government.
In the seminar, ensuring information security was one of the issues getting the attention from attendees in particular as well as the community recently. According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam, Manager of Information Security Department, QTSC Telecom Center, ensuring information security during the digital transformation process is an urgent issue to protect important data of government agencies, enterprises and citizens from threats in digital space. Therefore, it is necessary to build solutions to ensure information security, such as improving data backup capabilities, building information infrastructure to detect and respond to cyber attacks promptly.
Representative of VNPT Ho Chi Minh City also suggested that units and enterprises should use the 3-2-1-1-0 backup rule. In particular, there must be 3 copies of data - on 2 different devices - 1 external backup - 1 offline copy - 0 error.
The seminar attendees also listened to other presentations related to building and promoting digital government systems in specific areas such as: administrative management, public service provision, training, healthcare... from Smart Digital Technology Joint Stock Company (SDT), Huong Viet Group – CLS, Wata Software.
