Following a series of recent fire incidents causing significant damage, QTSC organized a hands-on firefighting equipment training session on April 18, 2025. The training was attended by nearly 80 participants, including QTSC’s on-site fire response team, security personnel, and employees.
As the management unit of the Quality Tech Solution Complex, QTSC recognizes the critical importance of enhancing fire response skills among its on-site personnel, who play a key role in initial response in emergencies.
The training aimed at equipping participants with hands-on skills in using fire extinguishers, emphasizing correct and proficient operation, selecting the appropriate extinguisher type, and using it for the intended purpose. This is an essential measure in ensuring the safety of people and property in emergencies.
Notably, the training session featured direct participation from firefighting police officers, who provided guidance on proper techniques and shared real-life experiences in firefighting. During the theory session, the officers introduced two common types of fire extinguishers: CO₂ and dry powder. CO₂ extinguishers are effective for electrical and flammable liquid fires due to their cooling and oxygen-isolating properties, while dry powder extinguishers are typically used for combustible solids like wood, paper, and fabric.
The practical session followed right after, simulating a real-world fire scenario. Under the guidance of firefighting police officers, participants practiced fire extinguisher operation, including properly holding the extinguisher, pulling the safety pin, aiming the nozzle, and extinguishing the fire according to standard procedures. Both CO₂ and dry powder extinguishers were used to ensure participants could confidently apply their skills in real situations.
This training is part of QTSC’s regular fire prevention and response program, aimed at raising awareness and improving firefighting skills. It contributes to building a safe, professional, and risk-prepared working environment, reducing risks for on-site personnel involved in fire prevention and response.
