On the morning of July 6, 2021, Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) Chain held an online meeting on planning its activities in the third quarter of 2021.

Accordingly, at the request of the Ministry of Information and Communications, on June 18, 2021, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam signed Decision No. 966/QD-TTg on continuing to pilot the model of Quang Trung Software City Chain until December 31, 2023.

The decision clearly states that, during the continuation of the pilot phase, the Ministry of Information and Communications shall coordinate with ministries, branches and localities to propose and submit to the Prime Minister a plan aiming to amend and supplement the relevant legal corridor to ensure that it is appropriate to the actual situation.

At the first meeting after receiving the decision to continue piloting the establishment of QTSC Chain, the existing members of the Chain (QTSC, ITP, HueCIT) and representatives of the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City agreed on specific tasks in order to promote the initiative of Chain’s members. In which, three important goals during the piloting process are as follows:

• Complete the legal model of the Chain's organizational and operating regulations.
• Improve on promotion for effective investment attraction, especially focusing on the field strength of each member.
• Develop Chain’s members by admitting 2 - 3 new ones.

As for the Chain's operating budget, members will propose the expected operating costs for common activities in order that members can contribute and adjust activity programs in line with the common development goals of the Chain.
