In the evening of April 26, 2021, members of Quang Trung Software City Chain (QTSC Chain), including QTSC, Information Technology Park – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (ITP), and HueCIT, held a meeting at Thua Thien Hue People's Committee to finalize 2021 first quarter activities.
The meeting featured leaders of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Department of Information Technology – Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC); representatives of 3 official members QTSC, ITP, and HueCIT; and representatives of Tien Giang, Ben Tre, Hau Giang, Binh Dinh, Tay Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City Information and Communications Department; Can Tho University Software Center; Army Software Park, Khanh Hoa; VNPT Tien Giang.
At the meeting, members of QTSC Chain respectively reported the business result for 2021 first quarter activities of each unit. Then, leaders of zones and localities expected to participate in the Chain also presented the development orientations, proposals and recommendations to remove difficulties and problems quickly to become a Chain's member. It is expected that QTSC Chain will admit 1 or 2 more members in 2021.

In terms of the development of QTSC Chain in the next stage, representatives of MIC and other provinces agreed to report to the government the difficulties, the responsibility of each member when participating in Chain, the operational expense, and so on. Especially, they also proposed to Prime Minister to sign the decision to extend the period of Chain pilot to 3 years so that potential members can complete the documents for joining Chain and the Chain's legal framework.
Chain's official and potential members will actively implement national and local digital transformation programs in the coming time. Simultaneously, provinces continue to promote activities to attract investors and develop IT enterprises to operate in the zones.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Lam Nguyen Hai Long – CEO of QTSC, shared: "QTSC can make use of available resources of internal enterprises and share the experience on activities regarding STEAM Education, Smart village model coming into operation at QTSC shortly and IoT applications. Besides, QTSC is going to finalize IoT applications deployed in the area so that localities can consider how it works and whether it is suitable for their reality. It is possible to implement these applications into management activities, QTSC is willing to transfer implementation experience."
