In the afternoon of July 5, the Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) Chain Management Council included leaders of QTSC, Information Technology Park, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (ITP), and partners had a meeting to survey the need for participation to QTSC Chain of Ben Tre province.
At the meeting, Mr. Lam Nguyen Hai Long - Standing Member of QTSC Chain Management Council, CEO of QTSC and Mr. Nguyen Anh Thi - Member of the Council, ITP Director and partners visited and conducted a survey of potential locations, units being applied scientific and technology in order to serve as a premise for building a software park in Ben Tre province, such as surveying Dong Go area, Ben Tre College – a branch of Vietnam National University HCMC in Ben Tre province, and center of hi-tech application of agriculture.

Following the program, leaders of Ben Tre province consisted of Mr. Phan Van Mai - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Huu Lap, Vice Chairman of Ben Tre Provincial People's Committee and leaders of provincial departments exchanged and provided more information for the Council on their strengths, weaknesses, challenges, etc., as well as provincial economic characteristics, training activities, scientific and technological activities.

Through initial discussions with provincial leaders, the QTSC Chain Management Council highly appreciated the potential of Ben Tre province. In addition, the province was only 85km away from Ho Chi Minh City and 120km from Can Tho. In which the province had 65km of coastline, so it has had great advantages in agriculture and fisheries economics.
About QTSC, Mr. Lam Nguyen Hai Long said that we would continue to work with the province to support, advise and introduce some technological solutions of typical businesses to be able to apply early in the province.
