In the afternoon of January 10, the delegation from Osaka city government, Japan, which was the representative of “Low Carbon” project, had a meeting at Quang Trung Software City (QTSC).
This was a project subsidized by Japanese government on the basis of city to city cooperation. With the aim of decreasing energy consumption, reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emission, mitigating global climate change, Osaka city wished to be able to cooperate and support QTSC to participate in the project in order to promote energy saving in production and operation activities of Quang Trung Software City in the near future.

Under the project, Osaka city government would provide financial supports on feasibility study (all expenses) and a part of initial investment cost, as well as technical supports of Japanese top manufacturing companies for the selected projects. Also, the city would be a point of contact to answer questions and the project’s representative to apply for feasibility study subsidy to the Japanese government.
The project’s subjects involved in many fields such as green industry, green building (hotel, IT data center), solar energy, wind energy, equipment system in buildings (air conditioner, heat source equipment, gas boiler, and so on). In this year, QTSC was the first project Osaka city was interested in learning about and desiring to cooperate. Hopefully this would be a good opportunity to promote cooperation and development of Ho Chi Minh City and Osaka City in general, as well as enhance energy saving, improve operational efficiency of QTSC in particular.
