On the afternoon of November 14, 2024, the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee officially launched the Digital Citizen Application, aiming to enhance connectivity between citizens and local authorities. This smart mobile application serves as a two-way communication channel between the city government and residents with easy and convenient "one-touch" interaction.

Through the Digital Citizen App, people can report incidents, submit feedback, and contribute ideas on issues of interest. They also could track the progress of responses from relevant authorities. Additionally, the app allows users to access, search and utilize various public services efficiently across multiple areas of daily life.

For the government, the Digital Citizen App provides an effective platform to record, manage, and address issues arising from real-life situations within the area, based on transparently provided data. Furthermore, the app facilitates the timely dissemination of city activities, publicizes newly issued policies and regulations, and delivers urgent news and alerts to the public.

Initially, (running until December 31, 2024), the Digital Citizen App offers 12 core feature groups. These include submitting suggestions and complaints via 1022 system, addressing issues related to economies, culture, society, and national defense and security, proposing initiatives for city development, as well as services in education, healthcare, tourism, and transportation. In the coming time, the app is expected to expand features to include e-commerce, employment information, social welfare, and tools for information security checks.
