DIGI-TEXX is implementing EU General Data Protection Regulation

In the middle of this year, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), agreed upon by the European Parliament and Council in April 2016, has replaced the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC as the primary law regulating how companies protect EU citizens’ personal data, consistently in all EU and EEA members.

Any company that markets goods or services to EU residents, regardless of its location, is subject to the regulation. EU has been being one of the biggest markets of DIGI-TEXX and it is critical that we are aware of the GDPR and take necessary actions. Thus, in the last months, DIGI-TEXX incorporating with our law partner, have analyzed the GDPR, in comparison with the previous Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC, to provide an overview on the new requirements that DIGI-TEXX should fulfill.
