On the morning of July 27, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong and leaders of departments and agencies arrived to visit the 115 Emergency Center located in Quang Trung Software City (QTSC).
With the task of responding as quickly as possible to the emergency needs of citizens, the 115 Emergency Center officially went into operation on July 28.
Speaking at the working, 115 Emergency Center Director Nguyen Duy Long said: “To ensure conditions to operate 24/24, Ho Chi Minh City leaders have proposed to move all switchboards to QTSC and increase capacity to 40 transmission lines, while backup will be raised if needed.”
Accordingly, all calls to the 115 Emergency Center must be heard, screened, and answered. If previously, there were 1,200 calls a day, this week has risen to more than 5,000 calls. Currently, the center has 20 operators. It is expected that the number of operators will increase to 120 when receiving 100 students from Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine.
