In the morning of November 7, the Cuban Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City and the Computer and Communications Business Group (GEIC - Grupo Empresarial de Informática y Comunicaciones) from Cuba had a visit and work at Quang Trung Software City (QTSC).

At the meeting, the delegation was introduced about the process of formation and development of Quang Trung Software City. After 18 years of establishment, QTSC has achieved a lot of outstanding results with a complete ecosystem to serve the working and learning needs of more than 21,851 people.
According to Long, as the beginning, there were only 21 micro-companies with 250 people working here. Based on great advantages of Ho Chi Minh City such as the most dynamic city in Vietnam, high determination of the city’s leadership in building up a software park, convenient transportation, high quality human resources, many incentive policies for IT enterprises, etc., together with QTSC’s young and creative managing staff, we have constantly developed and improved the park. Furthermore, in the 2000s, with HCMC’s incentive policies in inviting overseas Vietnamese to build their homeland, there were a large number of overseas Vietnamese with rich knowledge and experience in hi-tech industry invested in QTSC, Long added.
