In recent years, STEAM education, an educational approach that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics as its base, has become more well-known and been applied at many schools nationwide. In response to this trend, Education STEM & 4C SKILLS Company Limited has decided to establish the STEAMZone Center at the Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) with the aims of making STEAMZone a leading STEAM education brand in Vietnam and a place where every student can study and experience STEAM using the modern equipment available at the Center.
According to Mr. Ha Duy Binh - Director of the Center, STEAMZone Center offers a high-quality environment/wastewater for learning, playing and creating in a whole new way using a variety of modern equipment, enabling students to study, experience and turn their ideas into real products.
“Students are always welcome to experience STEAM at our STEAMZone Center. We offer different specialized equipment for different fields, from architecture and construction to robotics, agriculture and handicraft. I believe that 3D printers, laser cutters, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines and modern robotic models will help our students complete their creative ideas.”
After developing the Center into a prestigious STEAM brand in Ho Chi Minh City, our company aims to make it a top-class education brand in Vietnam and in the region.
To reach this goal, STEAMZone Center has created a board of advisors which comprises of local and international scholars, e.g. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Hai – a STEAM expert from the STEAM Research Institute at the University of Missouri, U.S.A., and teachers from the STEAM centers at the Ho Chi Minh City University of Education and the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education. Our Center also partners with teachers who participated in the STEAM program of the University of Melbourne, Australia.
Our Center's academic staff were graduated from the best universities of pedagogy in the country and trained by our partnered advisors who have more than 50 years of experience. In the near future, STEAMZone Center will expand our academic teams and develop their expertise in order to meet the increasing demands from schools that practice STEAM activities.
Collaborating with QTSC is one of the most important factors that can help STEAMZone achieve this goal. “QTSC is the largest software center in Ho Chi Minh City; hence collaborating with such a reliable partner gives us the opportunities to work with large software companies, and to combine and apply new technologies into STEAM education, breathing new life to this educational approach.” said Mr. Binh.
