In the morning of March 21, for the purpose of learning about the smart city model in Ho Chi Minh City in general and Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) in particular, a delegation of Canadian businesses consisted of 14 representatives from companies operating in the field of IT and telecommunications came to visit and work at QTSC.

Opening the meeting was a brief introduction on the process of establishment and development of QTSC in the past years, its key milestones and great achievements, as well as QTSC's position with other IT high tech zones in ASEAN and Asia. QTSC’s representative also shared more about preferential policies and support services for businesses operating in the park.

Then, representatives of Canadian businesses also introduced their operating model and typical services, products. Especially there were two companies AssistTomo and Symroc desired to learn about smart city project, exchange cooperation opportunities and introduce appropriate application solutions (AssistTomo specializes in smart city solutions, Symroc provides sensors and monitoring systems for earthquake and seism).

Following, the business delegation was introduced about the Integrated Operation Centre (QTSC IOC) - the solution has integrated many applications on a single platform to serve the park’s monitoring and administrative activities based on connecting IoT technology applications in order to improve service quality and support customers better.

At the end of the meeting, they visited Agriculture Center of Excellence located at lot 13 in the park. This was an area dedicated to research and apply new technologies in agriculture such as Internet-of-Things, Cloud Computing, Big Data, etc., thus providing the farmers possibilities to increase the productivity efficiency.
