Last June, QTSC collaborated with partner to complete research and deploy the Video Management System – VMS into practice at Quang Trung Software City.

VMS was developed to collect effectively video data from millions of different cameras in real time. Collecting data from various cameras which were installed in a large scale of 43 ha inside Quang Trung Software City is really difficult. QTSC currently has about 300 cameras from 5 different brands and the number of cameras will be increased in the future. Each camera manufacturer has their own management system to monitor the cameras, hence when the operator need to monitor all the entire cameras, they have to access more than 10 websites with 10 different passwords. Some unique cameras only work with just one web browser.

Besides, the cameras on the market nowadays just have normal functions such as monitor and record the information. Therefore the operators are only able to re-watch recorded videos after the problems or accidents happen for recognizing the criminal or finding the main reason of the incidents. It will slow down the process of solving the emergency cases.

VMS system connects multiple camera signals on one platform

As that fact, QTSC has deployed the AI technology for VMS System. That system will help the users to manage all the cameras in just a single centralized software. Especially, that system can also collect data from the available cameras without making any changes of the whole system. Addition to the basic monitoring functions, the system is also equipped the advanced and intelligent functions like recognizing the motorbike numbers, human faces, recognizing identity of people, counting the numbers of people, recognizing the crowd, etc. Moreover, there are also the warning functions like warning the objects in the blacklist, warning the objects climbing through the fence, warning the gathering crowd, warning the appearance in restricted areas...

With these intelligent functions, VMS can be applied in various environment/wastewaters and circumstances such as recognizing the faces for employee timekeeping, office entrance management, restricting the numbers of people from some areas. Also recognizing the motorbikes or cars numbers from the parking lot without using cards, recognizing the violated objects on traffic (speeding, wrong lane, driving in the opposite direction, driving without using helmets,...)

In the future, QTSC will coordinate with the member companies in noticing, solving the violated employees in the local streets. The management department of QTSC will send the images which are captured by the VMS system to the companies of those who cause these violations.
