In the morning of December 17, Quang Trung Software City (QTSC) and U.S. Consulate in HCMC organized a sharing meeting about 5G Wireless Network Technology – Enabling the 5G Ecosystem.
The meeting attracted more than 40 IT engineers and leaders from enterprises operating inside and outside QTSC. The keynote speaker was Mr. Cary Ingram, Senior International Trade Specialist for Telecommunications Technologies, U.S. Department of Commerce, who shared about 5G network as follows:
- The trend of technology and 5G ecosystem development; diverse access technologies for 5G network as well as its impact on broadband access.
- Future programs on emerging technologies for 5G network and their implications for network.
- Policies and roadmap for 5G ecosystem development and technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Computing and Technology Start-up.
- Ideas in Smart City including Internet of Things, Smart Traffic, Health Information Technology and other fields where new-generation network can be applied.
- Enhancing the 5G network management capacity, deploying advanced applications in the field of Smart City, Internet of Things, Smart Traffic, Health Information Technology, etc.

Following the program, representative of QTSC Telecom Center introduced the data center and information security services that QTSC is providing for e-government projects and customers.
Mr. Triet Huynh, Senior Commercial Specialist, U.S. Consulate in HCMC and representative from Amazon Web Services were very interested in QTSC's data center service. In particular, Triet Huynh said that he would support QTSC to introduce new technologies as well as find more partners from the U.S. in upcoming projects.
