Being a part of the activity series to celebrate QTSC 19th establishment anniversary, in the morning of March 4th 2020, QTSC collaborated with HCMC Red Cross to organize the Blood Donation Day 2020 in Quang Trung Software City.

Donating blood to help people is a noble gesture of kindness to the community. Blood is a special medicine, it can only be donated by the people in the same community or ethnic group. The safest source of blood for patients is the blood from healthy people. Voluntary non-remunerated blood donation saves many lives, brings joys, happiness for patients and their family, and it also helps the health sector to reduce difficulties.

Besides, the blood donors are also guaranteed benefits such as:

• Free examination, blood test and health care consultation.
• Being granted a certificate of voluntary blood donation (a certificate of free compensation for the amount of blood donated by volunteers in case of blood transfusion needed).
• Being supported for transport expenses in cash.
• Giving gifts in kind to encourage, foster health for blood donors.

Responding to the call “Donate blood to save people, a noble gesture – Donate blood today, health tomorrow”, more than 117 individuals from 15 companies participated in the event and donated 154 blood units. The blood will be taken by Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross for the use in local hospitals.

The next blood donation day will take place in May 2020 as expected.
