1. The Ministry of Information and Communications in collaboration with VNITO Alliance, Quang Trung Software City (QTSC), SaigonTech, Ho Chi Minh City Computer Association (HCA), and IT leading experts from businesses and universities together built and published "IT Career Handbook". The book provides useful information related to various kinds of professions in IT sector, skills and qualities needed for the job, helping students and young people to determine their career orientation in the future.
2. QTSC put a new and modern hall into use with a capacity of 350 people and a large lounge of over 1,000 m2 to meet the needs of organizing events, conferences, seminar and welcoming domestic and foreign delegations to visit Quang Trung Software City. The hall not only serves QTSC itself but also provides the services to other customers, especially QTSC tenants and partners.
3. With the QTSC Integrated Operation Center solution (QTSC IOC), QTSC was selected as Top 5 nominees to public voting round of the Administration Category of the 2019 "Smart City Asia Pacific Awards" organized by IDC.
4. QTSCwas honored to receive the second prize of Ho Chi Minh City Creative Awards in 2019 through applying solution "Quang Trung Software City Integrated Operation Center (QTSC IOC)” in administrative activities.
5. QTSC collaborated with partner to complete research and deploy the Video Management System – VMS into practice at Quang Trung Software City. VMS was developed to collect video data effectively from millions of different cameras in real time.
6. QTSC honorably welcomed the Minister of Information and Communications to meet the Southern ICT community. This was the first time a meeting between Minister and Southern ICT enterprises was held in Ho Chi Minh City aiming to strengthen the connection between the state management agencies with the ICT business community and associations in the southern provinces. Also, this was a valuable opportunity for businesses to present and comment directly to the leaders of MIC, thus helping state management agencies to grasp the situations timely so as to support and help enterprises solve difficulties and develop markets.
7. For the first time, nearly 40 editors-in-chief, representatives of southern offices and journalists of press and television agencies joined a press tour to Quang Trung Software City to learn more about the Smart City model; visit QTSC R&D Labs - a place to research and develop products and solutions; Agriculture Center of Excellence - an area dedicated to research and test new technologies in hi-tech agriculture. In the future, QTSC will upgrade Agriculture Center of Excellence to a Smart village model with the aim to provide technology experiences suitable with the context of IT application in agriculture and rural areas in Vietnam.
8. QTSC in association with VNITO Alliance organized trade promotion programs in Japan and US aiming to help Vietnamese IT enterprises explore these markets, seek potential partners to cooperate and develop their businesses, as well as open up many opportunities for future cooperation for IT industry in general and software outsourcing in particular.
9. QTSC collaborated with the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center (ITPC), VNITO Alliance to successfully organize the Vietnam ITO Conference 2019 with the theme "Vietnam - The Emerged Destination for Innovation". The Conference attracted nearly 600 guests, including 150 international guests, enabling more than 200 business matching meet-ups between Vietnamese IT enterprises and potential partners through thousands of meetings and interactions at the event.
10. The Thua Thien Hue Information Technology Center (HueCIT) was named as the 3rd member of the Quang Trung Software City Chain at a ceremony held in HCMC on December 2019. This is a great opportunity for HueCIT to inherit and promote the experience, brand of Quang Trung Software City so as to approach, cooperate, attract investment, develop market, improve competitiveness in developing IT industry in Thua Thien Hue province.
